Mapouka from Abidjan.

Even though the word "Mapouka" was commonly used when referring to dance music from Abidjan, the actual music itself was not as popular as Youssoumba. The top "Mapouka" songs that I recall were "Ahou", "Bôtchô", "Afroke", "Hoza", "Dr Pitte".

The term "Mapouka" was likely popular because it was easy to say and sounded good, anyone could say Mapouka from Abidjan.

To the spirit of Mapouka, and
with love and joy, we love and enjoy "Ahou".
