Take me to Kinshasa.

When I was a young boy, I knew 3 places in the world. I knew Bonanjo, where I was born. I knew Bali, where I lived. I knew Deido, where my aunt lived. All these places were in Douala.

I knew of another place in name only. I had heard of a place with great people. I had heard of a place with great music. I had heard of a place that was loved by many people in Douala. The great place was called Kinshasa.

Kinshasa was the first place that I ever wanted to visit. I was always excited just hearing the word Kinshasa. People in Douala spoke of Kinshasa with admiration. I dreamed about getting in a taxi and saying to the driver, take me to Kinshasa.

Thru a spiritual connection, Kinshasa is like another home, a spiritual home.

To the spirit of Kinshasa, to the music that has brought joy to Douala, and
with love and joy, we love and enjoy "Kinshasa".
